Short-term review (after using 5-6 days):
I bought this phone just to cut myself from the grid a bit, to avoid the digital life and take back some of my time. I liked that it supported replaceable battery, which supports my right to repair (more on that on Kyonbhai.in) Honestly though, I expected a bit more features than this phone has to offer considering the price of 4.5k.
Pros:
Sturdy phone, weight distribution is good, battery backup is great (not excellent), radio works without headphones, 4G works well, dual sim capability, Opera browser for very basic googling and downloading .mp3 and .3gp videos. Overall helps me cut back from the negative digital life.
Cons:
Camera is ridiculously cheap! I’d have expected better. Internal storage of 32MB. Hinge doesn’t inspire long term confidence. Works on KaiOS not Symbian-so no way of installing off market apps. No profile settings like previous Nokias.
Long-term review (after 6 months):
Many people are posting positive reviews based on nostalgia – do not listen to them. I bought this phone expecting nothing and it still failed. I am living like a digital pariah for the past 2 months and have completely cutoff my Android device. That doesn’t hurt me, but this phone does. If you adjust the brightness and flip shut it, it goes back to being bright again after opening. The calendar “fills up” after 15-20 entries. SMSs are limited to 500 approximately (start deleting every week). If you play games like Doodle Jump with the sound on, the game actually lags (WTH?), 3gp videos lag etc.
Nokia, bravo, you managed to disappoint even your most ardent fans. Goodbye forever.
Final verdict: Not recommended. Even if you’re getting it for the elders, a Jiophone would be a better option.

Has dual screen but the second screen functionality is limited to indicate time and notification badge. Volume keys and lock key are placed on side like a smart phone. But volume levels are low.

I really love this phone, as u transition from smart phone to this phone u realize as an introvert u really only need this phone. My day feels so much more relaxing. I dont watch brain rot videos anymore. Best is the feeling that im not really connected to everyone all the time. I have my own private space and people wont intrude on it. All the while it’s soo cool and people keep asking me what phone do I use and everything. All my photos I take in my camera if I go also. Im just loving this and wouldn’t change anything about it. The fact that it doesnt have WhatsApp makes it work so well and everything is soo good. I love it.

Definitely not a primary phone in this era but it’s absolutely stunning for secondary use. Battery life is up to the mark and the speaker is cool enough for the genre of songs I listen to. There are few spelling glitches in the inbuilt notification while transferring/moving files but that doesn’t alter the functioning of the phone one bit. Been using it for couple of months and the phone stays with me all the time.
I was amazed to see the built quality of the charger. How I wish it came with earpiece ah!. Overall the phone is too good looking and smooth as freshly brewed rice beer.
Thank you Nokia for taking us back to memory lane!
